Solving the question of Jerusalem, which stands at the core of the Middle East conflict, means much to many in the world, incuding me. The very nature of Jerusalem, being what I would call the capital of the three world religions, Christianity, Judaism and Islam, makes it in a status of its own. Therefore, it seems only natural that this wonderful city should belong to no one particular entity, In fact, it can be the symbolic capital of two Middle East nations, one Palestinian, one Jewish. Such solution would add to the status of Jerusalem, making it a symbol of coexistence the world over. Whether this idea will come true, I don't know, but I think it's worth mentioning. I discuss these ideas in my book.

I'd like to know your thoughts. Please leave your comments below.

Amnesty for Illegal Immigrants?
Posted by Omega on Thursday, June 18, 2009 at 4:45am
As someone who stayed in the United States for several years after the expiry of my visa for strong reasons, I feel that some deserving illegal immigrants, who identify with America and love it as their own country ought to be given the chance to become legal residents.

Two main factors must be considered when addressing this issue: National interest and justice for qualifying migrants.
From a national security standpoint, no harm will occur from legalizing Americanized illegal immigrants. From the standpoint of the illegal migrant, legalization would crown his hard work and contributions and enable him to pay taxes -that is, if he is not paying them already.

How do you feel about this issue? Please, feel free to share your throughts below. Thanks.
